Course Overview

This course develops skills that bridge your ability to DO healing work with your ability to BE a practitioner. Full of interactive explorations, this course creates an environment where you can practice skills that will enhance your ability to respond to any interactions related to your work. We will delve into four key topics. The first topic, Relationships, focuses on lateral thinking and creative exploration. Next, we will develop the ability to think on our feet, an essential skill during sessions and in public talks. Moving on to Responsibility, we will examine expectations and conditioning, along with a short section on compassion and its role in acting responsibly. Finally, we will address the often-ignored elephant in the room, exploring ways to bring it to light and manage it effectively. This course develops skills that bridge your ability to DO healing work with your ability to BE a practitioner.

Knowing how important it is to have smooth and quick reflexes in our joints and movements, this course aims to develop dexterity in our interactions with clients and the public.

Every section contains exercises for you to practice multiple times and repeatedly to strengthen and refine your "practitioner reflexes." The work is designed for the Practitioner who currently or intends to interact with clients. The exercises will benefit any practitioner in the fields of complementary healing. Only one of the exercises is specifically for BodyTalkers, but could be easily adjusted to any practitioner's work.

Course Description

This course is an interactive mix of exercises and lectures. Because this course is all about practical learning and pushing beyond your comfort zone, it is important to engage in all the exercises fully. Within and after the exercises, you will find 6.5 hours of video lectures with Dr. Veltheim covering the course topics in greater depth and through interactions with students. Even though it is very tempting to feel that listening to the lectures is what will boost your practitioner knowledge, it is quite the opposite with this course. This course is about mental and creative training, and you must do the training to receive its fruit.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Understand the ongoing value of practicing skill development.
  2. Enhance the ability to perceive complex and seemingly unrelated relationships within the body.
  3. "Think on your feet" within a BodyTalk session, or any healing session, and when conversing with clients.
  4. Understand the importance of ongoing creative exploration as it pertains to BodyTalk.
  5. Work through the limitations that arise when true responsibility is not embraced.
  6. Openly discuss and recognize the key issues that are being ignored by clients yet are contributing to their health condition.
