Course Overview

This presentation from the 2015 Members’ Conference asks us what might be getting in the way of a thriving and fulfilling BodyTalk practice. Advanced MindScape Instructor Andy Spencer is not interested in providing us with any answers or clues about how to be successful. Instead, he focuses on asking questions—questions that will trigger deeper self-inquiry into how we may be thwarting our own success. Relying on the underlying philosophies of BreakThrough and BodyTalk, Andy knows that it is authentic self-investigation that will lead to the “aha” insights that are required to transform a business. If you are interested in taking your practice to the next level, this mini-course is for you!

Andy Spencer

Andy is a Senior MindScape Instructor, an Advanced Certified BodyTalk Practitioner and Level 2 PaRama BodyTalk Practitioner. He is a Director of BodyTalk Training Limited with his partner, Karen Best, an Advanced Certified BodyTalk Instructor.

Andy is fortunate to have studied with BodyTalk's founder, John Veltheim, as well as two of the most senior instructors within the IBA. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has a degree in Economics, with over 20 years Corporate Finance experience in London. He has been on the board of many private companies and worked with many management teams to enable them to significantly grow their businesses.

Andy has four children and loves working with clients of all ages, helping them reach their full potential, whether in health, family, sports or business. He works with families, couples and children of all ages. Andy has many fellow instructors and practitioners as clients, as well as business people and entrepreneurs, helping them develop their awareness and become more successful. A common side effect is increased joy in life!

Course Description

This course asks us to examine our rigid beliefs about success, while also acknowledging and honoring what makes us unique. It also focuses on how to get out of being motivated to succeed in practice into the more heart-centered space of being inspired to succeed. Andy focuses on four stages that must be explored in order to succeed: 1. Inspired versus motivated success; 2. Genuine honesty about your current position; 3. Blocks, limitations, fears, control and responsibility; 4. Action. To gain insight from these four stages, Andy asks eight different questions to trigger the self-inquiry process. The more honest you can be with yourself in your responses, the more you will gain from this self-reflective course.
