Jim Oschman is the award-winning author of Energy Medicine: The Scientific Basis (Churchill Livingstone, 2000 and second edition, 2016, Elsevier) and Energy Medicine in Therapeutics and Human Performance (Butterworth Heinemann, 2003).

Jim has presented lectures and workshops in 25 countries around the world, including several IBA conferences in both the USA and Europe. His presentations are on the energetic basis for exciting emerging techniques such as BodyTalk.

Jim has degrees in Biophysics and Biology from the University of Pittsburgh. He has worked in major research labs around the world. He has published more than 100 articles and books, and his scientific papers have been published in the world's leading journals. Jim has both taught and attended workshops at various therapeutic schools around the world, and has experienced a wide range of therapeutic techniques. Jim has also been involved in the development of cutting-edge medical devices and advanced applications of the emerging concepts of energy medicine.

Jim is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the Foundation for Alternative and Integrative Medicine, and is the recipient of the Foundation's Founders Award. He has also received a Distinguished Service Award from the Rolf Institute and a Career Award from the International Fascia Research Congress. He is also a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine and the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies.
